Portuguese detained after escape from police against Vigo highway
A Portuguese man was arrested in Spain after walking 14 kilometers against a Galician highway, fleeing the police, after escaping police control in Vigo.
Approached by two policemen in Vigo, the man accelerated and passed all the red lights he encountered along the way, at great speed, until he entered the A-55 highway, which links Vigo to Porrinho, reports the Galician newspaper ABC.
At the first exit of the highway to Porrinho, faced with the presence of the Guardia Civil blocking the road, the driver reversed the course and continued to flee for 14 kilometers until he attacked a police vehicle that was stopped blocking another one. exit from that road. The collision caused damage to the driver's vehicle, which would eventually knock down the "rails" and hit a wall when trying to escape. He was immediately arrested and refused to take a blood alcohol test. He was later transferred to the Guardia Civil facilities, where he was found to have a record.
